Somehow I couldn't get blogspot to let me continue on the last post, so I will continue this way.

Exquisite fabrics at Den Haan and Wagenmakers.

Next door is Bird Blocks quilts - a store 3 or 4 years old, with all the usual quilt store things, as well as quilting supplies: cutters and blades, rulers, mats, etc. But again with charming people, so happy to 'talk' quilting.
I returned to Antwerp. They have a truly lovely train station that has been a work-in-progress for over 18 years. It is getting close to completion now. It has trains arriving and departing on 4 different levels, very modern, but they have maintained much of the magnificent, historical architecture.

On Saturday, Karen and Marc, from Crazy Exchange arranged to have a party for quilting, cross-stitch, embroidery friends and their spouses. Karen and Marc have four children, so they were there with some friends, as well. Quite the adventure - and almost no English. My Dutch skills were sorely taxed. It is amazingly tiring to spend a day in a language not your own. (I must be more patient with friends at home, who are native speakers in another language.)

Nana got a baby "fix" too!
Left Antwerp on Monday morning and went to Haarlem, Netherlands. Next post.
Ain't life good?
